(no subject)
Sorry I haven't written, it's been a very busy few weeks. I don't remember when I updated last. Did I update about Amsterdam? Not sure...but if I didn't, it was fun, and everyone should visit. :)
So I am enjoying London very much. Each weekend I get to just explore the city. I went to Harrods recently, and all I could afford was a famous Harrod's bear key chain...but hey, its something. I also bought some gelato there, which was sooooo good. Mmmm love gelato.
I went down to the West End the other week to try and catch a play. Yay for the half price ticket people...everywhere. We got to the ticket place around 7.15, and most shows start at 7.30, so we didnt have much choice. It was either pay full price for Les Mis and only 15 pounds for Fame. We went with Fame. It was actually really good. Corny story line, but it was really fun and everyone was dancing and such. Good times. I want to be in Fame. ;)
Trying to get to see phantom or chicago next week, we'll see if my budget can allow it. Meanwhile, I'm busy at work. I have to say I am an awesome RA. We had our first big incident the other night. Some kid, while drunk of course, decided to climb up a pole in Chinatown to grab one of those Chinese lanterns (they are all hung up for Chinese New Year). This is the 3rd time he has done it, so he thought it wouldn't be a problem. But apparently his foot slipped and he lost his blance and fell. Hit his head, knocked unconscious, and peed himself. Sucks huh? So when he came to, he wouldnt go to the hospital. His friends brought him back to our flat and he still didnt wanna go. So they knock on my door at 3am and I tell him to go to the hospital and he wont. So we call 999 and have paramedics check him out here (cause we know he is hurt but he wont budge, and he his like 6'4). So the paramedics decide he needs to go to the hospital and they take him. And he was ok, mild conconcussion (sp?) and all was well. So, as an RA, I was quite impressed with myself. Didn't sleep much, and I was getting sick, but I did well. :) This kid is still going out and drinking hard core every night, but I can't control that.
This weekend I got sick...so I styed and and had movie night with the floor. Which was nice...ahve been going non stop since I got here, so it was nice to take a break. Next weekend I'm off to Deutschland (which everytime I tihnk of, I sing springtime for hitler,don't ask). I'm really excited about it. I loved Munich and have always wanted to see Berlin (I love history) so I am really excited. I am even staying in former East Germany! Wooo! The weekend after I'll be hanging around London, and the weekend after that my brother comes and we are going to Rome. So I'm excited for that and gelato!
After my brother leaves, its the students spring break, so itll be quiet around here, yay! And thats when Rachel and Laura will visit, so I won't be totally bored while everyone is gone. And that brings us to the end of March...amazing how fast time flies. March will hopefully bring Ireland, and April brings Nikki Pooh, Wales, and my parents. And then the students leave and we get new ones in May.
And I haven't thought past May yet. Too far to think about May. Anyways thats my exciting life...I'll write more after Berlin. Please write to me, its nice to here from you guys!
