Happy Chanukah/Xmas Eve!

So I'm just bumming around til I have to be at work at 12:30. I'm not so excited for work today...not sure how the day before Xmas will be. I mean my frirst day at a retail job ever was Black Friday, and I made it through that. But this is the day before Xmas and people get psycho. Completely nuts.

For example: Thursday I worked til midnight, and it must have been a full moon. Cause we had some weird customers. This one woman came into our store with a shopping cart. We don't have shopping carts in our store, and neither does any other store in the mall. So I don't know where she got it from. Anyways she puts like 15 items in her cart, comes tot he register, we ring it all up, and then she decides it was too expensive and only wants one item. And then this other woman came up to me and asked a simple question: "I got this off the 50% off rack...is it 50 off the original price or off the lowest ticketed price." It's 50 off the original price, I say, that is our policy. So she says to me well I would like 50 off the lowest price on he ticket. Um no, this isnt a market, you can't bargain here. This is our policy AND it even says so on the rack you were just shoppin off of. So she wants to see a manager to see if she can get the price changed. Thankfully the manager isnt in, she has tot hink about it, and then spends the next hour looking through every single thing in our dept...buys nothing and goes.

I tihnk Macys has made me racist too. I swear it has...Ive had all these problems with hispanics and russians...and now I see em and I like leave the register area to clean up. Isnt that sad? I thnk its sad and wrong of me to do, but at the same time I swear they always cause problems...ah!

Ok, my racist rant is done. I feel better now. One more day after today there, and maybe Ill become my "love all mankind" self again. ;)

In other news, I booked my hotel for the one night Ill need a place to saty before my dorm building opens. I am staying at the hotel where I stayed the very first time I visited London. Which is nice...its a really nice hotel and they give u a great English breakfast and Roy the cabbie comes to pick you up. And Roy is still at this hotel, still pickin people up from the airport, 10 yrs later.

I'm really stoked for the next 6 mothns or so...and the possibilities. I hope this job leads to others that aren't in this country...cause I honestly am not ready to settle down in one spot in the states just yet. I still have too much craziness in me and Id rather hop around countires and do odds and ends then anything else at this point. After my job is done, I'm gonna spend a few days in Poland before I head to Israel for a few days. So I'm really excited for this whole thing...the experience, meeting the students, traveling, getting to know London, finding Harry Potter, you know, fun things like that ;)

And of course, you can all come visit, cause I like visitors! And I'm a super tour guide. And I'm free ;)

Ok Happy Holidays kids! :)
