Amend me, baby...
Wow. Today drug major ass. Had to stand there for about 4 hours, watching people bicker about pretty much nothing. There were 16 amendments proposed to change the house rules. Mostly housekeeping, but there was a lot of bitching on two things in particular. One dealt with recording votes, and verifying votes, and shit like that. That in itself took about an hour or two. The second one was only about 30 minutes of debate. Just a minor change in the crap they do every day, Keel wanted to add the saying the state and us pledge to the morning ritual, because he thought it would only be fair since they make people do it in school... I don't know why, but there was actually opposition to this, but screw them, it passed anyways. After that, I got the honor of being one of 4 people who didn't go out for lunch. So I was running my skinny ass all over the place for a few hours. Got home, decided I'd go on a little quest to find a freebirds. Except I had no idea where the fuck they were. So I drove all over town, finally found one way the hell up north on I35. And, best of all, my DSL was activated today. So I can finally download and upload to my little heart's content, and still be able to get calls from telemarketers :)
