Part of my job in the main library is copy-cataloging. This means you search for catalog records and copy the one you deem worthy, Library of Congress being the gold standard. Once you get the hang of looking at MARC fields and you remember to check the various fields that may need custom tailoring, it can go pretty fast. It can also get rote ( ( Read more... )
