Back to school again, and not minutes after arriving at the dorm, I was greeted by most of the people I miss the most. Henry, Shayla, Franklin, and Ray and Annie showed up a short while later. Annie is probably the friend here I miss most of all. She's so loving and cheerful. She appears to be the Kaylee of our circle of friends, for those that get the reference. For those that don't, let me quote the lines I think of when I think of Kaylee.
Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please?
Mal: I don't believe there's a power in the 'verse can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct-tape her mouth, and… dump 'er in the hold for a month.
[A grinning Kaylee gives Mal a peck on the cheek.]
Kaylee: I love my captain.
I'm hoping to figure out more of what this quarter's program is about. There's a few unanswered questions as to the theme and nature of the work. More when there's more to tell.
