I don't write in this thing enough. I should keep people more up to speed, I suppose. In any case, I should write more of what the hell goes on in my own life for the sake of reference. April 8th just passed, marking the second year I've been out to my parents. This weekend, I went to see Arlo Guthrie in concert, particularly interesting since before I'd been invited along, I could have sworn he was dead. I'm in a program called Playing With Shakespeare, and it's wonderful stuff. Spring break was a mix of really good and really bad experiences. Laura visited campus the last week of the quarter, and we got to spend some time together. We dyed my hair purple. I might post pictures on here at some point. It's also getting really long now. I took her around campus, gave her the dime tour...she wants to come here when she finishes with her associate's. I can't wait. I miss her tons. The visits have that bittersweet quality. It's great to have her here, but it's horrible to have her leave again after such a short time. The bad news of the spring break is that my dog was put to sleep. It's something that's still hitting me at moments, in waves. Snoopy was one hell of a friend, and provided a much-needed ear on more occasions than I can count. I miss him, but I'm really doing okay. This place, this school feels more and more like home. I hope to update more often this quarter. For now, I think that's all there is to say.

After looking over this post, I have two notes to add. First, a cookie to the first person who can identify the character depicted in my icon(with or without the title as a hint). I can't explain how happy this icon makes me. Second, I don't know how many instances there are throughout the post, but the last four sentences are in iambic pentameter. They told us that serious exposure to Shakespeare would rub off, but I didn't think it would start quite this early.
