I'm the feeling of Bitter Disappointment, shattered and forgotten...

Well, since the event coming up this weekend will allow our characters a chance to mingle, Kris and I thought this might be a good time to start the "heart shard" subplot in their fairytale. And we're looking for our first volunteer! For what, you may ask?

For those of you unfamiliar with Princess Tutu, this is basically how it works: as Mytho's app says, Mytho's heart has been shattered by the Sea Witch into various emotions (fear, love, etc). Without being in Mytho's body, they search for a new body to inhabit: someone that, for one reason or another, identifies with the emotion they represent. When the heart shard possesses someone else's heart, it increases the emotion to unhealthy levels and practically consumes the person, making them act...well, strange. (The heart shard will also occasionally appear as a ghostly, red-tinted form of Mytho and comfort/urge on/otherwise talk to the person it's possessing, as well.)

The first shard of Mytho's that we're looking for someone to be possessed by is Disappointment. To give you an idea of how this might work, here's what happens in the anime: Anteaterina was a ballerina that wanted to dance like the best in the class, Rue, and asked her how she could--but Rue brushed her off and said that she probably wouldn't be able to be as good as her even if she practiced. Anteaterina walked away dejected, and that's when Mytho's heart shard of Disappointment found her and possessed her. Because of this she became bitter towards Rue and consumed with the idea of hurting her the way she'd been hurt, trying to steal away Rue's boyfriend, Mytho (yes, that's her in the icon) and take away her position in the Advanced class by challenging her to a competition to see who was the best dancer. When both of those plans failed she flew into a rage, ranting about how it wasn't fair, and the heart shard appeared to her as Mytho and told her "You're right, it isn't fair. Go ahead and cry."
That's when Princess Tutu (who isn't in the RP yet) came to Anteaterina and asked her to dance with her. At first Anteaterina responded angrily, but Tutu was able to get through to her and say that she shouldn't try to copy Rue, but find "her own way of dancing". Anteaterina's bitter and disappointed emotions were eased, and the heart shard agreed to go back to Mytho.

So how will this work on the RP? Well, here's a basic idea:
-Character A has some reason to be disappointed, so their mun decides that they'd like to have them possessed. We'll (meaning me, Kris (Fakir-mun) and Character A's mun) work out how it'll work together and go through any questions or plot ideas that need to be discussed.
-Since this'll be the first one and Mytho's sort of...out of it right now, we were thinking that Mytho and Character A could come across each other in the dream? The heart shard could somehow resonate with seeing Mytho, perhaps. (Although since the heart shard is an actual physical piece that needs to travel, it probably couldn't return to Mytho in the dream.)
-Mytho will recognize that the heart shard is his and (...somehow) convince Fakir to travel to where Character A is located.
-Since we don't have Princess Tutu around right now, Mytho will dance with Character A himself. (Or for the character, if they're unable to dance with him for whatever reason.) He can't do the "therapy session" dancing quite like Tutu without his heart, but he is a good listener, at the very least, so it can probably play out similar to the show.
-After the dance, the heart shard returns to Mytho, and Character A returns to their normal emotional state.

Also, note that your character doesn't have to be affected exactly the same way Anteaterina was: that's just an example. A character that isn't quite as hot-tempered as her, for example, would maybe respond to the overload of Disappointment in another way. It'd make it easier if your character has a reason to be disappointed, but considering how fairytales are, that probably won't be too difficult. I'd be disappointed if I was locked in a tower/cursed to be stuck as a frog/what-have-you. XD; But if your character isn't really the sort to be disappointed for whatever reason, probably best to wait for another heart shard, if you'd like. (Don't worry--there's plenty.)

If you're interested, please feel free to reply here with any questions/concerns/etc? Fakir-mun and I are looking forward to getting this bit of the adaptation started. ^^ Thanks, all!
