A beautiful white peacock could be seen flying across the clear blue sky. She sang sweetly, and the music echoed everywhere in sight. The grace in her flight made it look like an aerial dance, and the people below turned their heads to look at the astonishing sight. They all smiled and applauded the bird's performance.

Misa swelled with a mixture of pride and happiness, not even caring why she was suddenly a bird instead of a girl. She was free from her curse, and such things as what she looked like seemed immaterial.

((ooc: Yeah, yeah. Peacocks can't fly, and they probably don't sing very well... but it's a dream, so it's all good. :3))

Misa turned her gaze to the ground, noticing the dark-haired girl running after her. She was confused for a moment- none of the others came after her. Why was this one? Perhaps she should go down and greet her properly. It seemed rather cruel to just keep flying away from her.

Still, something kept her from descending. A sudden certainty had fallen upon her- if she touched the ground, she would lose her wings... and her voice.

Conflicted, her song faltered for a moment before resuming it's former melody.

It didn't seem right to leave this girl with nothing. Not when she was the only one who came after her. But Misa could not- would not- give this up. Everyone loved her now- she was beautiful and could sing again. This was a dream- it had to be- and as such, she would be forced to return to her body soon enough.

But still...

Misa circled back and paused in her song. She was unable to smile at the girl, but she was able to call back. "Thank you very much."

"Anywhere~ It doesn't matter." The peacock looked thrilled with herself, and sang out a few short notes. It was true- she had no particular reason to go anywhere, and no where to return to. It didn't matter, though. As long as there were people who wanted to see her, to hear her song, then she would be happy.

((ooc: Late reply is late. D: And short.))

'As long as you sing'... the reason she wanted this dream to never end. When she woke up in her cursed body, she would have no reason to be loved anymore. This dream, too, meant that the people she saw were not real. It was not real love.

But did that matter? Whether or not the love was real made no difference. If she felt loved, then that was enough for her.

So she did not falter or hesitate for a moment when she responded. "Thank you, Miss."

((ooc: It's fine. ^_^ *really wants to read Himawari's canon series now >_>* Tragic characters, UNITE!))

If she were in her human body, Misa would have blushed and giggled at the compliments. The request for one more song was also something she was familiar with. Normally it was from fauns or men or her sisters, but coming from this girl, so hesitantly... it seemed different.

With a nod of her head, Misa replied, "Of course- I would love to."

She lifted her head, and began to sing again. Pumping her wings, she started to ascend once more, the soft, lilting melody echoing slightly in the empty sky.
