Have been meaning to continue the tradition of the futility watch that Erik started while he waited for graduate programs to get back to him - but of course it was lost in the shuffle until now. Today I received my acceptance into the anthropology grad program at UW-Milwaukee, which was great news on its own. Then, sitting down to disperse this happiness across the internet, another acceptance letter was in my email. This one was from the grad program for Telecommunications at Indiana University at Bloomington, and this one was a bit better by having some funding included - and IU is also where Edward Castranova (author of Synthetic Worlds) is at, so that makes it doubly keen. So things are going well, and I'll keep you updated on school plans and where I may end up as things progress. Huzzah!
