cold fingers, numb toes

i spent 15 minutes at the hawk lot this morning essentially using a squeegie as an ice pick
shattering the sheets of ice off my car (but not my windshield)
and after i finally got some of the snow and ice off, i was still snowed into my parking spot
*sigh*
i will miss a lot of things about iowa city but i have been missing some things from home too
i think i'll actually miss school and learning, seeing people
miss my cute cozy little dorm room with free heat controlled by me
and 800 dvds downstairs
and my beautiful girlfriend just a mile/20 minute walk away and always willing to make me green tea or draw me a shower

but it will be nice to sleep in my bed
and sit down on a toilet seat and not worry about germs
and shower sans flip flops
drink egg nog and eat christmas cookies by the light of the christmas tree
and then give mr pig a dribble of egg nog because he's such a cutie boy
and not be such a pedestrian/cold all the time
and have a job so i can not always have a few dollars to my name...

okay i'm gonna go now
inga is home and i wanna spend time with her before i leave
brunch?snuggling?
