I didn't think I could quit. I had tried a few times before that and always ended up going back, smoking more than before, vicious cycle and all. I smoked for 11 years. I seriously do want one like every day, but it's not bad enough to make me start back. At this point I really would feel retarded for picking it back up.

How have you been?

Thanks, chica. I'm not really sure what happened to make me quit, aside from having bronchitis. And it seems like every time I'd think about picking them up again I'd tell myself how bad I'd feel if I made it this long and picked it back up.

Hopefully things will improve for you, whatever is going on. Likewise, I'm rooting for you :-) Hang in there.

Oh fuck me sideways i hate bronchitis. Since I've started taking reactin and nasonex I'm not getting it twice a year like i used to but fuck it was nasty... and about half the time it would gro from bronchitis to pnuemonia. UGH. You'd think I'd have quit smoking during those weeks, huh? LOL no, I'm persistant. and stupid. so good on you for stoppin'. find something else to chew? This one store has these licorice branches, looks like a tree branch, wood, and you chew the fuck out of it. helped me cut down a lot cause black licorice and smokes taste NASTy together.

Yep, twice a year is the norm for me. So Reactin and Nasonex have kept you from getting it? That's pretty amazing. My lungs just hurt too bad and everytime I smoked it was just so much more painful. I was like WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF so I quit and decided I would try to make it permanent. Seems to be working so far. I do find that I chew on random things a lot, like my name badge for work and my fingernails. And I have to have something to keep my hands busy so I play with silly putty and maybe a stress ball once in awhile. I also gained weight after quitting. Go figure.

it helped. My sinuses are so closed up and inflamed that infections happen, then go down into my lungs. the Reactin fights off whatever makes my sinuses inflamed, and nasonex seems to open shit up nicely.

oral fixations are a bitch.
