WHAT
Has it really been like a month and a half since I've spewed any of my own mental garbage and polluted the interwebs with it? Yes it has. So it's time for some mental garbage.
So...recently I visited a friend in Jersey. I've talked to this guy for 9 years, never met him until March. It was awesome at first, then gradually got more and more awkward. Normally it's the opposite...you know like it's all awkward at first and then you relax and things become awesome. Not so with me, no I have to do things bass-ackwards. Mostly it was because this guy places a lot of importance on looks and I definitely fall short in the looks department. I think he was expecting one thing and got something completely different. I also think I annoyed the shit out of him. So the more I was there, the more self-conscious I was about my own appearance and trying to be on my best behavior...so yeah the more I try and the more I pay attention to myself, the worse things usually get. I felt like an ass.
Not to mention I kind of developed a huge crush. Dude is FINE.
On the subject of dudes, my store is being remodeled so we have all these EXTRA PEOPLE WTF. The construction guys vary between huge/hairy and normal-looking/not bad-looking at all. I talked to one of the painters the other day and managed to discover that he was Albanian and looking for a woman. Asked me if the women around here were hard to get. I laughed...because apparently he hasn't gotten outside of the hotel much. Look out the window and see ten sluts walk down the road, man. That's basically what I told him.
And then there's this other guy, who is not construction but just an extra hired on...keeps staring at me and smiling at me. Not bad looking either. I walked past him earlier, said hi...he said 'Hey babe.' And I proceeded to run into a shelf. SMOOTH IS MY MIDDLE NAME.
But embarrassing shit like that is just one occurrence in a sea of stupid shit that I've done in my life. S'all good.
Still it would be cool to have a date. I dig free dinner. So yeah, gonna try to not run into anymore shelves. Goals are good!
