I've been busy with crafts

A rare public post!

Ever since the carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms decreased I was able to knit again. During my pregnancy I couldn't knit more than a few rows in the evening, but changed quickly after Zoë was born. So I finished the blanket:

It became a bit larger than planned, which is okay. I'm so bad at estimating how much I need for a knitting project. The lady at the store suggested I needed 8 balls of yarn. When knitting I thought that wouldn't be enough so I bought 4 more balls of yarn. Turns out that 8 would have been enough. Now the blanket is larger than originally intened, but it's soft and warm and smells of wool (It's merino wool). Since I had yarn left, I crochet a hat. It will be the right size for Zoë soon. Right about the time she'll be needing a warm hat.

Then the card I made for announching Zoë's birth:

Both Tom and I checked and double checked if all information was correct, but we're 5 grams off with the weight and 2 hours with the time of birth. Lack of sleep and such. At least we spelled her name right. And our names.
I kept the design simple, because I was still recovering and I had no clue what to put on the card. In the end I went for a golden/yellow dragon (Orlaith means golden lady or something like that depending on which source you use) in a "pet me now" rabbit pose. Tom suggested taking a picture of 4d6. ;) I think a dragon is enough nerd reference and much more fun to draw.
