Swap blues
With doll clothes swaps I got some really awesome swap items in the past, but it looks like I'm quite unlucky in the last ones. I received nothing in the last Christmas swap and the swap host refuses to leave feedback or the flaker. I did ask the mods if I could leave feedback, because a lot of DoA swaps exclude people with a flaker reputation, but I'm still waiting for an answer.
My swap partner in the last swap I organised wrote a value of $50 on the customs forms so I ended up paying €19 for the package. My swap partner offered to pay part of the customs fees, but why write $50 on a package when the swap value goal was $15-20?
I got a cute cape, a cute headband, a 58 cm piece of lace and a 55 cm strip of unhemmed fabric (shawl). It's nice fabric, but now I'll stop worrying about not double hemming the simple wrap coat I made. I still need to take pictures of the items, but I'm still waiting for the outfit I bought off eBay since Distel is practically naket and I don't have nice clothes for her. The outfit being late worries me, although it was shipped with standard international mail.
My empress dress swap is going nicely and I hope to post some pictures soon. Right now I have a tule underskirt, a chifron underskirt and a bustle that does not combine with the tule. That's okay, because I want to make a mix and match kind of a dress.
