I noticed that I have some pics that I didn't share here. For the Zaoll Valentine swap at DoA I made a skirt, stockings, a garter, a petticoat and a decorated top hat. My swap partner mentioned that she wanted something steam punk and I had just the right materials. I used only craft materials I already have and bought nothing extra. Most of it came from the boxes of fabric and lace I got from
Batchix. The fun part of swaps is that I get new ideas for my own dolls too. It’s usually the lack of deadlines that keep me from making stuff. XD
There's still so much craft stuff left and I hope to use more of it for the next few swaps I'm in. (I think I have about 4 boxes of stuff after throwing out half.)
Anyway, here are the items modelled by Barry, who's going to pretend to be a girl. The corset was made by Raouken and I got it with the previous Zaoll swap. I didn't make a shirt, because Barry has no breasts and the Zaoll I got matched with does. Luckily the owner has a nice shirt to with the other items. (She posted pics at DoA.)
Endeavour also got a new face-up as well as my ANother secret Orchid named Distel.
Endeavour has given me a lot of trouble and never wanted to look right. From the beginning I thought he should be blond, but once I let go of that idea and I went for black hair (like most of my dolls) it clicked right away.
Here is the original face-up done by the Limhwa artist.
Here the tough, blond guy look that I tried. (With very orangey eyebrows. For some reason my brown paint turns orange. I have bought new paint to replace that particular colour.)
I guess he was never meant to be tough, but much better suited for dreamy and romantic. In any case, it's always nice to find a look that feels right.
Then there's Distel. I personally find this face-up too dark and smudgy, but I wanted to try more blush. In the end I think I'm happier with lightly blushed face-ups, although it was worth a try.
She has Dollpire hands, which I like a lot. ^_^
