Don't you love it when you find that song that is almost exactly representative of what you feel? I was listening to my iPod on random when Cafe Tacubas song "Quiero Ver" came on. Just the perfect romantic tune to listen to. If you're a Spanish speaker then check it out and tell me its not lovely!
It's already week 3 at school and I had my Kickoff meeting today. We had over 70 people show up to our meeting!!!! It was awesome. I am sick as frick but since no one ever wants to go up and speak, I, el Presidente had to do so. With my sore throat, cough and SUPERMEGAULTRASONIC irritating runny nose I went up there and spoke about AMA. In case I didnt mention it before I am part of this American Marketing Society and I am currently the Chapter President at Cal State Fullerton. In other words, I have another job besides school and work and I DONT get paid to do it hahahhaha. I'm depending on the success of this club to open doors for me because I barely have a GPA near 3.0. I've always been the type of student that procrastinates so its my fault. This year is different. I am on top of the club, my classes and my job. Last year at CSUF until Grad school so I have to make the best of it.
My grandma is something special lol. She has the luxury of living either at our house or at my uncles whenever she wants. When she's around she doesn't let me wash dishes or clean up the house because she needs to feel needed in order to be around. My moms failed attempts to teach her how to do things right have only led to her departure. When she returns everything is back to normal. Haha everytime she cleans and goes to her room we have to clean again to make sure its right. For example, she washes did I say that? I meant "washes" the dishes lol. I dont want her to get butthurt so I wait for her to slide away and then I pounce the dishes and wash them as soon as I can. She often catches me but I make up an excuse like "OOO sorry grandma I dropped some food on them so I was washing them again" I love her sayings. She's always got the best things to say in Spanish. Like "El sordo bien que no oye pero bien que compone" which translates to the deaf does not hear well but arranges/composes so well. If you snease three times in a row she says bless you and then OOO may JESUS HELP YOU in Spanish haha. I never really write about my g-ma. She's sick right now but nothing terminal nor serious but she's back and right after my meeting at school I dropped by and bought her favorite snack. McDonalds Apple Pies. Haha!
Im at the point where my sickness is causing my ears to pop...Jenkis!
One last thing...
I saw this posting for a paid internship in London for graduate work. You live in London and then in Bangkok. It's through the Mountbatten Internship Program. If I qualify I would SO be up for this! I am really interested in international work. Like I mentioned before in other entries time and time again...I don't feel any obligations to stick around here. I feel this type of shame to think and feel this because my family has given me nothing but love. I have friends that are there for me if I needed them to be. Yet, I've never had a best friend I am not attached to anyone. This might be the way for me to really grow up, get out and find out who me really is. Still I hear it gets REALLY quiet when im not around haha.
