And once again, I'm absolutely sickened and horrified about circumcision. Seriously, how the hell is this still LEGAL?! I actually just asked my husband that, and his response was that it's still legal because the legislators don't remember having it done to them. If they did, you can bet it'd be made illegal damn fast. :/

Thanks for that. For my argumentation class I'm doing a persuasive speech about why circumcision is unnecessary. This helps!!

I'm such a mom in that class... first I did my visual poster about breastfeeding in public and now this. Hehe!

have you checked out wreckingboy's essay? it's one of my favorites! wreckingboy is a man who is circed, and he also circed his two sons. later, something sparked him to start researching the issue and he's now anti-circ. it's very very well written....

I was crying while reading this. Mike says he wants any sons to be circumcised. Not gonna happen. Nope. Not backing down, even if it means we aren't going to have anymore children because we can't agree on it before conceiving again. I would hate to give birth to a baby boy and have Mike tell them to circumcise him behind my back if I were unable to say no for some unknown reason. Seriously, if we have a boy, it will be in large bold print in my birth plan. I'm stealing this link. I already sent it to my Mom, who thinks that not circumcising is gross and unclean.

The email I sent just said to please read it all the way through, to humor me. The replies I got today (there were two separate ones) said that she did not read it and is not going to read it until I'm pregnant again and then, only if it's a boy. The second one said she didn't read it and when we get pregnant again, we're going to be in for a lot of trouble if it's a boy.

Pretty much, like you said, people who are pro-circ won't read it.
