Oooh the weather is so wonderful. I have been longing for sunshine since December. It was so nice this morning I woke up at nine and couldn't go back to sleep. So I woke up, did my yoga, got dressed for the day, took mollie on a car ride to the nearest gas station for water and snackage. As soon as I got back home I ran to my sisters room and jumped on her bed till she woke up. At first she was pissed I had visions of her kicking my ass off the bed and beating me to death, but as soon as I told her that I wanted to take her driving she calmed down a bit. Since I started teaching her to drive that's all she has wanted to do, which I don't mind I love car rides!
Soo with Liz in the drivers seat, Mollie in the back with the windows rolled down (so she can do the batman thing with her ears, like chance does in homeward bound), and me securely fastened in the passangers seat we head out to Richland. My Dad works out there for MSU, and they have tons of land. . . a cow farm with baby calfs that lick you with there prickly tounges, gull lake, a bird sanctuary, and a few beautiful forests. Today my father was working on a water line and well out at Lux Arbor. I had never been out to this particular forest, my favorite has always been the kellogg forest. So we get there and my father is busy and can't give us a tour of the forest so we are sent out to explore on our own! As soon as I open the door Mollie is out flying down the trail. The trails are covered with deer tracks, and their are massive pines all around us, and on our way back Mollie runs into the pines. Curious I follow her, crouching under the braches, but as soon as I get through I am able to stand up there are pine trees as far as the eye can see, I am standing under the pine trees, the bottom branches are at least three feet above me. It's almost like this magic forest, with a bed of pine needles under me. It's a little dark because most of the sunshine cannot penetrate the branches, I wanted to explore. Unfortunately I was unable to explore Liz had to get back and go to work. Although Friday Megan and I are gonna take Mollie running back through Lux Arbor, I want someone to see how magnificent this forest is. Plus Liz was kind of grumpy today and not properly dressed so it wouldn't have been much fun anyway. I hope the weather holds out! Spring is by far my favorite season. The time of year I completely feel rejuvinated, my body heals itself from the cold winter, and my mind feels free to wander, not too far though that could be dangerous. I also love the smells of spring mud, grass, wet trees, moss. hmmmmmm. . . . . . .
