No, it all depends on one's responsibility )or lack thereof). Case in point: we raise our granddaughter because her Mom was sexually irresponsible, brought her into the world, then walked out on her.

BTW, The Church reaches sexual responsibilty, which seems to be abhorrent to many in our "me first" culture.

churches SHOULD teach sexual responsibility but with most churches now a days i find they just avoid the topic all together. a sad reality. and you're right, it all depends ... sex is as complicated as one makes it. if only i knew then what i know now, how different my story would have been. i guess in all fairness, at least i know now and can see my faults. how else would i have been able to ask for forgiveness ... even through our shame and our mistakes He finds a purpose. for that alone i am thankful.

nah, nah, i was making a joke at the expense of Catholicism - they overtly regulate sexual expression to the point of compelling unhealthy sexual expression.

multiple partners are okay. just go ask david and solomon:

Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines,... 1 King 11:3

The man said, "Isn't this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?" 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. 2 Samuel 11:3-4

And Solomon was supposed to be the wisest guy on the planet:

King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. 2 Chronicles 9:22.

dayam. and these guys made it into the infallible bible.
