You're simply not Christian enough
One of the new girls at work told me that she tried to join a support group online for Christian parents. They wrote back to her and told her she was not allowed to join the group. Why? Because she's not married. She *was* married, but is now divorced.
This is reason #4839643 of my problem with "organized" religion. You've got a kid? But you're not married? Well, you're not good enough for our group then.
Y'know...doesn't matter if the reason they divorced could be because he beat her, or cheated on her (I have no idea why they divorced. I'm just making a point). The fact that she's divorced is automatic disqualification.
Ugh.
