Horse Karma
Sometimes it's hard to sit with this horseshoe up my ass...
XBox finally kicked it in while playing borderlands. Poor little guy. He's been returned for warranty already once and he's the same xbox that I bought the day he came out so he had a good life. He now lies resting next to the grave I've dug for... oops... ha... nevermind that (inner typing, outer typing). Between Borderlands and Dragon Age I was logging some good hours with my buddy XBox. May his cold machine soul rest in piece.
Heard on the radio driving home from a late dinner with V that BestBuy was having a midnight event to sell the new Modern Warfare game and that they were giving away free xbox's. I joked to V that I should go down there and win one. For the Halo 3 event at future shop there were about 100 people in line and they gave away 5 xbox's so that's a 1 in 20 chance... then i thought to myself, what have I to lose and I headed down to best buy... then came home an hour and 20 minutes later with the xbox that I just won. And not just any xbox, the limited edition custom silk screened 250G hard drive version that is selling for 430 bucks.
Odds were far less this time but thanks to my lucky, albeit smelly, horseshoe I fluked out! When i got there at about 20 to midnight the lineup went up cambie, and around the block towards the up ramp to canadian tire. I hopped into line anyway and I know that when I finally actually made it into the store at 12:30 the line was still just as long.
On the flip side... I had a sore throat that kept me up all night tossing and turning in bed (no not playing vids) and this morning it was unbearable (plus I felt a bit feverish / vomitish) so I went to the doc. and he informed me that I've got strepp throat. Should have put that horseback when I was finished with it.
