On Friday night I went out to Blink and had a grand time. As we were leaving some random guy walking past tried to pick a fight for no good reason. He followed us as we were crossing the road towards railway square. I turned around and told him to fuck off, then promptly fell over and twisted my ankle. Ceejay came over and the guy left. I limped off with my right ankle twice the size of my left. The following day it had turned a lovely shade of purple. Funnily enough though, it hardly hurts at all... I figure it's because it's too squidgy to be painful.

Today we went along to Earthdance. A big doof in Sydney park. It was just the most amazing day. Sitting around on a blanket amongst all the people whilst the music washed over us. Dancing, despite my munted ankle. Having the best time without drugs or alcohol, apart from all the painkillers. Watching the circus people twirl. It was so energetic, yet laid back and completely relaxing at the same time. I'm now sitting at home, my upper body tingling with the warmth that comes after spending a day out in the sun. Like a child after a day at the beach. My skin darkening from its usual stark pallor to a more healthy shade of white.

I really think that i had more fun today than I would have at any normal rave, with all its party aides. There's just something about thousands of people dancing barefoot on the grass. The trees and open sky blocking out the city. Almost reaching out and touching something greater than ourselves. That something that is buried beneath the city's concrete and hidden behind the monolithic skyline.

I feel completely reinvigorated.
