I have an intervew at Randolph tomorrow for the position of substitute teacher. I'm sure it will go well. I haven't heard from the Foreign Language Services of Huntsville yet, having turned in my resume last Thursday. ColdeStoen is okay. Today was...the...slowest...day...evar...But it was cool being the only person in the store for hours; it gave me th chance to clean things that haven't ever been cleaned (The menu on the wall and the rail on the top of it were covered in a surprising amount of dust; I wasn't aware that a vertical surace could really accumulate that much dust).
I just started reading Hyperion by Dan Simmons. The premise interested me, but the execution seemed a little forced at first: seven "random" characters have been chosen for a pilgrimage to a remote, mysterious planet inhabited by some seemingly anomalous omnipotent space/time being that will supposedly destroy them. Also, in the beginning, the way Simmons describes things seemed lacking in subtlety. I just finised the first character's backstory and the plot has really started picking up. I looking forward to reading more~
