'Tis teh Season, eh?

So...I feel dumb. Amongst the mountain of tasks I shouldn't have procrastinated upon, it turns out researching substitute teaching was one of them. Upon turning in my application, it takes 8 to 12 weeks to receive the substitute teaching license. So, instead, I plan on going down to the Foreign Language Services in Huntsville and seeing where they could use me; I've been told they need translators for social work; so long as there is no legal/court intrepretation, I don't think I'll have a problem with that.

AH~ BUT THE HOLIDAYS ARE NIGH UPON US~ Howe'er, I haven't done my present shopping just yet; on top of that, I blew fifty-buck on m'self, picking up Gap sweater on sale and Season 3 of Futurama (also cheap; even though I've seen every episode multiple times, I enjoy the commentaries and extras very much ^_^). Thankfully, Katie and I have a goode idea as to what to get everyone.

Oh yeah, I've been playing FFXII as well. I'm in Bhujerba just before going to visit Marquis Ondore (and it bugs th' hell out o' me that they pronounce it "MAR-KWIS" as opposed to "MAR-KEE"). I've been trying to tackle the hunt of Nidhogg, but I'm not quite there yet. Having Balthier obtain the "pole" license seemed pretty good, as guns, although very-accurate, suck in terms of damage. In any-who, I'm sure it'll take another level, or some very careful gambit-managing along with luck.

Also, my brother arrives in town tomorrow; I look forward to seeing him. My sister-in-law (it makes me gleefully giggle a little that I can say that) arrives on Friday. Unfortunately, this will be the first Christmas that my sister won't be with us :( . She'll be with her boyfriend in Huntsville (LOL), Utah, which is certainly fair because he spent the last two Christmases with us. I eagerly await the posting of grades on ACCESS. So tomorrow I'll be getting a haircut, booking the location for the rehearsal dinner (we're aiming for Victoria's Cafe), checking the Colde Stoen work-schedule, doing some cleaning, and doing som' more Christmas shopping.

Th' happiest o' Holidays to y'all as well!
