Rundown of the last week:
Had a WONDERFUL weekend with Tony's mom, step-dad, and step-sister. After going with them to check into their hotel, we went to Cub Foods and picked up steaks to grill for dinner. Watched the Mackinac Bridge episode of Dirty Jobs that Cindy taped for us, ate, then visited for a while.
On Saturday we hit up the Mall of America and Southdale Center. They were giving away free loaves of bread at Southdale, so we walked out of there with 4 loaves of bread -- one less thing to have to buy when I go grocery shopping! We picked up cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory as we left. We went back to their hotel with them and went across the street to dinner at Dave & Busters. Tony, Cassie, and I had a blast in their arcade...and the food was real good. After that, we spent the evening relaxing in the pool and playing Trivial Pursuit in the hotel room.
After church on Sunday, we went out for breakfast at Perkins and then had to say goodbye. :-(
Then came work on Monday! I am LOVING my job! It's been great so far -- been learning the ropes, how to do some tasks my boss has passed along to me, and trying to figure out where to direct people if I get phone calls, which isn't very often. I've been averaging around 3 phone calls a day. It's definitely not a high-stress or demanding job. Very laid back and quiet. I really enjoy it!
Game plan for this weekend -- who knows! It's supposed to be rain on Saturday. Might be a good day to go check out the fitness center here in Plymouth and swim. On Sunday, my brother and ET might stop by here for lunch on their way out to the West Coast on their big motorcycle trip.
