Actually here it seems more and more that they're always complaining that the kids are too stupid. They just reformatted our SATs (Test needed to get into colleges) because women were scoring too low so they added an essay component. That was a fricken hard test and now they add more??

At the same time of course there are more complaints that too many people are learning to beat the test. There's been studies done showing that if you study the technique used to write the test you really can score higher. The thing is, this will happen with ANY multiple choice test.

What I find ridiculous is the new High School exit exams we have. You have to pass to graduate and you start taking it your freshman year. My year was the first to take it and then they threw it out for a couple more because the MAJORITY of kids failed. In my opinion...pathetic. You need to have a grammar level of elementary kids, the math skills of an elementary kid, the guessing skills of a kindergartner. That test really is too easy, easiest I took in highschool including my entrance exam!

I come from the opinion that a) there's always going to be people saying things are too easy BUT b) people are too dumb.
