(no subject)
I am leaving for Spiritfire in 4 days and have done no packing or preparing. I also have no days off between then and now.
The good news is I'm going. Almost didn't happen. My boss called me on my day off a couple weeks ago and said some thing to the effect of:
Boss: We always try to honor everyone's vacation requests, but we have 4 people all wanting to take time off at the same time...
Me: This is the time at the end of July, beginning of August?
Boss: Yeah
Me: The time I asked for months ago, when I agreed to take the part time gig and you said "wouldn't be a problem" when you gave me the full time job offer 2 months ago? {awkward pause} For the retreat I've already paid for?
Boss: Um... we'll figure something out.
