The speed dating was fun, although there were a few weird ones - like the guy who we had met at speed dating that time we went a year ago, who said he had never been speed dating before. I ended up with a few matches. Had drinks with one of them, but there really wasn't any spark. Still a good date though.
Mentoring has been good. Been doing papercraft at the library, making cards, origami etc. We both enjoy it, and if one of the other mentees comes along, it's a fun group activity as well. We went along to the graduation ceremony for the next group of mentors and mentees who were doing the program. It was cool to see their group and what they had done.
I've had a really bad back for the last few weeks since the new chairs at work did not suit me. I tried all kinds of ways of adjusting them. But I think it came down to the fact that they are less cushioned, and can't slope a certain way that the old chairs could. Unfortunately the guy who was supposed to source one of the old chairs for me was on leave for a few days, and I didn't know so it took longer to fix. Actually the old chair still hadn't arrived on Thursday when it was supposed to, so hopefully it will be there on Tuesday.
I've been feeling really run down a bit, so finally getting time to do nothing during these holidays has been great.
Only 11 more days till India! I am starting to get very excited. Mingaling and I are going light summer clothes shopping on Monday. I want to travel light there, and go on a shopping spree! I caught up with my friend who is getting married and we got measured for Sari blouses that we will wear to the wedding. I think we need to buy Salwaar Kameez (those tunic outfits) for the celebrations before the wedding too.
