Graduation and Hens
Hen's party on Sat was very fun. Great weather for wandering from winery to winery and nice and tasty.
I have never been a big wine drinker, but it was nice to find out what I liked and didn't like. Dinner was great and the bride was well up to all her checklist of tasks we (well mostly me - I seem to be quite good at coming up with little evil ideas) assigned her to perform. I managed to see her belly dancing at the restaurant, and then performing the Macarena on a busy street, before heading home because I am still recovering from a cold.
Graduation for Mentoring was awesome. It was cool to see most of the mentors and mentees again. Mentee was wearing her new outfit and I chose matching colours to wear.
She was a bit shy for her part of the presentation, which was little frustrating, but we got through it by saying the first few parts together and then she was confident enough to say the rest of her parts on her own. I was really proud of her for getting through it and really doing well by the end.
A lot of our families came along and it was cool to see my dad chatting away to her dad. A few of my friends came along too.
It felt really good to be a part of something so cool.
After graduation met up with some friends to watch Coraline. I've been looking forward to this movie for a while and really enjoyed it. Although I was expecting it to be kinda creepy (they said it was creepy about 10 times in the Making Of I saw), it was more scary than I thought it would be for a kids movie. I think it was because it was in 3D.
On Monday I had my Dark Heresy roleplaying game. We all died, which was kinda sad. But it was at the end of the adventure and was a pretty cool shootout, so didn't feel so bad about it. It will be cool to make new characters now we are more familiar with the system.
Work is a bit busy right now. Got a lot to do before my main workmate goes away for 2 weeks and a bit more pressure because when she gets back I'm going away for 3 weeks. Got a few projects on the roll right now.
Nice to have more time now that mentoring is slowing down and we will only meet up once a week. I'm looking forward to the Mentor thank you evening on Sat.
