This lady called in to file a claim today. She sounded tired, and she was filing a claim for a lost phone. Her husband left it in the waiting room at the hospital. Apparently she had just given birth, and *he* made her do it.
I found out because I heard a lot of noise, and they needed to fill out a Sworn Statement of Incident form. So I thought she might have been at the store, and we can fax it to customer's directly there. But she was like, "Oh, I'm at the hospital." So I congratulated her on the new addition to her family, and then she handed him the phone to make the credit card payment.
Talk about an inconsiderate jerk. "Honey, I know you're a little busy and all... but I lost my phone..." "Just let me have this baby first!"
*giggles* That's how I imagined it.
Another winner today:
A man calls in from OK to cancel his claim. He's found his stolen phone. I congratulated him and he said, "I'm not happy, a mexican has been using my phone for the past week. How would that make you feel?"
Me: "... Well, Sir I certainly wouldn't want anyone to steal my phone." *mute button* OMG YOU GUYS THIS GUY IS SO RACIST!
