[The scene is clearly a dark part of the city, and Mifune is currently walking slowly towards where he had been last night, gaining bounties through members of the mafia. He had been a bodyguard for one before, so he knew how they worked surprisingly well. He had to cut apart rival families, after all. Either way, he had victoriously gained quite ( Read more... )

[While normally the whole mafia thing is Wei's business, every now and then Yukimura gets himself involved. Normally these times are only ones in which he finds some benefit for himself in it or when Wei is in danger of being shot full of bullets.

This time, it's a bit of both.

Although he wasn't completely convinced that it was the appearance of an assassin after Wei, the possibility couldn't be entirely ruled out. So Yukimura would look into it for the Contractor's sake. He was sure, however, that the other man was a swordsman, if not a samurai. It would be nice to fight against someone 'normally' for a change instead of adjusting to what was normal for whoever, or whatever, he happened to be up against in Template.

And so, he'd gone back to where Wei had told him the sword had been found and he'd found himself a place to sit. He might have some fun, tonight, and for that he could wait.]

[When Mifune finally reached his destination, he paused and gave the area a quick sweep to see if he could spot his sword hanging somewhere in clear eye sight. Yet, when he looked, he caught sight of his sword all right - but with another person entirely. Mifune wasn't sure how to deal with the person in possession of his sword, who seemed to be sitting and waiting patiently for someone to come and claim the sword he found. It would be noisy if the man was a bodyguard to the mafia he was picking members off of, because then he would have to slaughter for his sword.

Still facing the man, he pulled up the sword held in his hand and set it over his shoulder. He stayed silent though, waiting and watching.]

[A smile]

You're the one who left this, right?

[He stands and holds the sword up a bit.]

[He looks more at Yukimura than the sword the man holds up. Mifune already knows it's his, after all.]

Yes.

[Steps away a bit and drives the sword down into a patch of ground.]

You can come get it, then.

Anytime you'd like.

[He unsheathes his own sword and falls into stance, waiting.]

[He watches the other man get into a fighting stance with his own sword. First, Mifune drives the sword that was leaning against his shoulder into the ground next to him. He then slowly steps up enough to get a good closer distance between the two samurai, but not close enough for him to grab his other sword or be attacked by the other man.]

If it must be too noisy.

[He lifts his arm enough that the coat around his shoulders moves enough to reveal a canister full of swords. He then lifts the canister up into the air before calling out calmly:]

Mugen Ittoryu.

[Immediately the swords fly out from the canister along with miles of bright yellow "Keep Out" tape, which wrap around the area of the two, keeping them locked in. The swords simply fall from the sky around them, before Mifune runs up, grabs the nearest one, and heads straight for a hit towards Yukimura.]

[Is momentarily distracted as he watches the swords and the caution tape fly out and situate themselves in the area, but recovers enough to block Mifune's first attack and push back.]

'Mugen Ittoryu'?

I've never heard of it.

It's the Infinite One-Sword Style.

[Pushes forward against Yukimura's sword, kicks his foot back and kicks another sword up from the ground, grabbing it in his other hand once it flies up.]

[Sees that second sword you have there! And jumps back from the confrontation, getting nearer to the border Mifune created a moment ago.]

So that's what they're all for.

Of course.

[Grabs another sword out of the ground, so he now has three.]

Three Shining Paths!

[Hurls all three swords in different angles towards Yukimura.]

[Well, fuck. He didn't expect to use the Sekireigan this early. There's a chance he wouldn't have needed it, but Mifune's pretty interesting, so why risk it? Have three Yukimura images getting impaled by the swords and disappearing while Yukimura himself takes a swing at Mifune.]

[Well, Mifune certainly wasn't expecting that. So when the three images are impaled and suddenly theres a Yukimura all up in his grill, all he can do is step back as quickly as possible and head for the nearest sword, before pulling it from the ground and grabbing it into his hand.]

That was an interesting style.

[Well, he missed. Boo.]

It's a technique, to be honest. I don't have any particular style.

[That said, he rushes Mifune - feinting to left and really going for the right.]

A technique? Still one I have never seen before.

[Throws his sword up in front of him just in time to dodge the feint. Pushes against the other's sword for the moment, before jumping back a safe distance on top one of his implanted to the ground sword's hilt.]

Who are you?

[Stays back this time, leaving distance between them.]

Sanada Yukimura.

And you?
