For the past four weeks I've been missing two hours of classes each week because of a timetable issue.
The teacher said she'll try and do a replacement for me, and it's not worked out. She and I both were too busy.
So I get called in to meet the Unit Co-ordinator, who tells me there's nothing he can do, since it's a structural issue, and the teacher can't reschedule the class.
So I politely asked if it was okay for another teacher or anyone, really, to give me a tutorial to cover what I miss, any time we can find it.
He says, it's against University policy.
I told him I'm pretty sure it's also against University policy to shortchange a student two hours every week.
I'm glad I'm coherent when I'm angry. I was tempted to hit him, because you cannot say all is fine and dandy then tell me a month on to fuck off.
I don't know what's going to happen now, but I know my mum was proud I was snarling-ly able to defend my rights. I'm paying International student fees. The amount in itself, I feel, entitles me to hit people who think it's okay to bloody oppress me.
It's amazing that I didn't swear once at him. Grrrrr.
Also. My plan for NaNoWriMo will be set
here, and I hope to include something a little holy and, I deeply suspect, Lavi.
