I keep thinking about the most politically-incorrect ice-skating tournament ever.
Where the organisers provide cushions all along the side of the rink of other skaters to kneel on.
So that when someone is skating, all the other girls (or boys, I'm not sexist)(except for the occasional smudge of female supremacy, ahahahaha) kneel with hands clasped in prayer, dozens of souls screaming out falldownfalldownfalldown, and the shaking of rosaries when someone actually does.
Then when it's someone whose kneeling's turn, she gets up to go, gets a wish good luck from the devout skater next to her, gets on the rink, and turns to see her neighbour already offering oranges and chocolate to any God who would exert unfair gravity on her.
Wouldn't that be awesome? A great, big mighty up-yours to being a good sport.
I keep thinking there is fic potential in this. I must find it.
