Well...I'm back in boring Michigan. Cali was so nice. I miss it. The mountains and the ocean are so beautiful! I now understand why so many people move out there. Too bad it's way over-populated now...but oh well. I guess it's their bad and their problem. I wish so many people wouldn't build their house on the side of the mountain and hill, it totally takes away from the natural beauty of it all. However I guess they learn their lesson when there's a mud slide and their house goes bye-bye...in my mind that's Mother Nature's way of saying "Get your fucking house off my back!" LOL! I know that sounds harsh...but come on. Even a monkey knows that eventually a house built on the side, or on the edge, of a hill, mountain or cliff will eventually fall. However I do feel bad for those who build their house at the base of the mountain and then get buried when there's a mud slide. But once again, it's bound to happen eventually. We drove by the house that got competely buried back in January by a mud slide and the entire family, minus the father/husband, were killed. That's sad...yes. I would never say it isn't sad or that they deserved it. However they did move into a house at the base of a giant hill...so they had to have known there was a good chance it would happen eventually. But I guess that's just me. I would never live somewhere knowing there's a high risk of something bad happening, such as a hurricane or mud slide. And if I did live there, knowing full well what could happen, then I would accept that as a fact of life for me. I mean, I want to live in Oklahoma. Will my house get hit by a tornado? Probably. Will I be upset? Probably. BUT! It's my choice to live there so it's my problem and my responsibility when it happens because I CHOOSE to move into a high risk area. I guess that's how I work.
So anyway, I LOVE the ocean! I want to live in the ocean! Or...as Dennis would put it...I want to shove it up my ass...but in my case I'd rather shove it up my vigina! So there! I want to take the ocean and shove it up my vagina! LOL! Damn...that sounds nasty!!! I guess I won't say that anymore...I guess shoving stuff up my vagina isn't my style :P
So we went to Santa Barbara. That was interesting...I wish I could have done some sight-seeing while I was there...but instead we went to The Gap and Banana Republic and places like that. Oh well...better luck next time I guess. I mean, I can go to those stores anytime I want to...I can't just up and go to Santa Barbara anytime I want to. But the street we walked down was cute and was full of cute stores...quite a few of them actually. I'd like to go back there sometime and see more, that's for sure. It's definitely a tourist town full of tourist things to do.
Six Flags was fun and it wasn't busy at all even though we went on Labor Day. I thought for sure the place would be packed...but it was competely dead. X was fucking scary! LOL! I swore so much on that ride. It completely freaked me out...it was fun...it was just freaky fun! LOL! Dennis said it's his favorite ride there. I can see why...it's so different from any other ride out there...plus getting flipped around in your seat adds that extra thrill that other rides don't have. Not much compares to going down a hill at a 90 degree angle...FACE DOWN! LOL! That really took me by surprise.
Hollywood was cool too. The Walk of Fame is neat. However a lot of those names I've never heard of. I wonder who some of those people are. We ate outdoors at this little pizza place and we were in front of the Hollywood sign, that was cool. And we saw the Kodak Theater, where the Oscars are held. That was neato too. It was a little surreal to know the big stars walk up those stairs for the Oscars and I got to walk on them too. It's kind of a cool feeling.
So I definitely want to go back sometime and see more. I would be great to go to different places and hopefully go to a state park. We had other plans before I got there...but his car died when I got there so that put a huge damper in things. But what can you do? Can't control those types of things...just gotta make the best of it when it happens. But he did buy a new car. It's a nice car too. I'm actually a little jealous of his car! I want a moon roof! LOL! And he has heated seats! Those would be SOOOOO nice in Michigan! So a fully-loaded car for only $16,000....talk about a steal! True it's not the car he wanted, but it's still a nice car and it's fully-loaded and it's cheap. Gotta start somewhere...then work your way up to the car you really want. Plus he's happy with this car...and that's good. I must have brought him good luck because before I came he had the worst luck trying to find a car. Then I suggested just buying one from the Ford dealership by him and look what happened! He didn't get screwed over and he got a new car! I definitely learned a lot from the Honda dealership we went to though. I learned that A LOT of dealerships try to scam you hard-core and are just out to make a buck. It's a little scary actually. Gotta be on-guard when buying a car these days...Especially in Cali! LOL! Most of those dealers out there are assholes!
Ok. I'm tired. Need sleep.
