im back and feel pretttyyy shitty right now. hopefully a new day 2moro w/ friends will be happy. hopefully i still remember how to interact with people my own age and have a sense of humour.
feel boatlish, lazy, and fat.
feel lonely and hateful towards some people that i didnt miss and im trying to avoid but i cant because of facebook. just want to be happy in my little bubble.
worried about next year's classes because so many are full or almost full already, with like one slot open, and i have a lot of back ups but still. i want to accomplish my dreams and i dont want any stupid scheduling confclit to get in my way.
i just want to be that dream.
but for anyone that still reads it, here's what happened on my trip:
got to oslo. it was cold. saw a big ship. ate dinner, drank wine, very hot waiter.
went to longyearbyen, the city of svalbard. went around town in bus. saw museums. saw rendeer. this old norweigman might have hit on me.
got on the ship. our room was below sea level basically. every meal we had to sit with lots of other people and mom and i were forced to socizlize.
the first "night" we saw 2 polar bears really far away.
the sun never sets there, you know.
it was very cold.
we went on a lot of hikes. the expedition staff there carried rifles and were really cool and badass.
it was really pretty there. there was a lot of ice, birds, and small flowers.
the 2nd night i puked for like 4 hours. i know you wanted to hear that, but i thought i would tell you. the waves were really high, and it was rocking all night long.
i didnt get up till noon that day.
there were lots of seals on the ice.
i love the ice. its beautiful.
that day was really gray and windy and cold. we saw a lot of whale bones on that hike.
it was wet.
i was trying to keep up wiht the workotu lindsey gave me.
we saw another polar bear.
we also saw a pack of walruses just lying there.
and a lot of trapper huts.
2 1/2 mile hike was nice. a lot of whale bones again. talked to the 2 girls my age there.
the underwater specialist was really hot. he was scottish and big and funny.
my mom and i played A LOT of 500 rum, and the night we were invited to have dinner wtih kenneth, this middle-aged couple named pam and brad invited us to play this awesome card game named phase 10 with them and that took up the next few days. pam's friend karen also joined us. it was a lot of fun.
i went kayaking with this scientist named dave and we saw puffins and other birds.
a viking ship attacked us one night and gave us hot chocolate.
and then we saw some whales from far away on the last night.
and i had a glass of wine again.
and finally had some dessert.
back in longyearbyen, there were alaskan husky puppies and the king and queen of norway and the princess of sweden. everyone sang to them and performed for them (the royalty, not the dogs). it was cool. no one really was guarding them.
the iceland extension was for old people, but im glad i went.
we didnt get to pick what we ate for dinner and were forced fed dessert, but whatever.
we saw a lot of beauitful things--waterfalls, mud pits, geysers, rocks, lakes, a well-thriving country...
and i bathed in the geothermal springs and it ruined my hair but it was cool.
alissa would have wanted me to make out w/ the mexican but um. that would have been gross.
then there was new york. we stayed at the marriot marquis, right downtown in the middle of times square.
we ordered smoothies and i wathced juno that first night.
then the next day we went to the statue of liberty and ellis island and battery park and washington square (even though nothing is there right now except for the arch). and we saw wicked that night. it was really cool. mom was dying as we walked around that day. it was funny.
the next day we woke up really late, walked to the un and around central park and then saw a lame, cloudy fireworks show on a boring cruise boat in the new york harbor. but my mom and i danced afterward to disco and rihanna hahahah. and we walked in the night and stuff.
annnddd today we left, after i had lots of creamy white stuf for breakfast.
lolz get it.
see, i can still be dirty and horribly hilarious right.
