I was searching online for Winston Churchill's famous comment about democracy being the best of many bad forms of government when I came across this little gem by him:
The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.
How very true that observation remains to this day. And perhaps that explains why John Howard is so keen to make us all "average" Australians!
