medeski, martin and wood are possibly the absolute filthiest band i have ever heard...
Jazz guitar lessons have started, and they are going well, even though my teacher is a crazy old man who believes the only guitarist who ever mattered was Joe Pass... which, he may be right with.
I cant figure out why Christian Mcbride puts out such ridiculously bad albums, but has such great live shows. Him and Ron Blake, horrible album with little soul and little substance. Him and ?uestlove, little soul and little substance... why? what are you doing McBride? You are a master live.. why do you have so many terribly shitty songs recorded?
Working a bunch of hours, but our deadline got moved back, so i can at least relax for this weekend (minus the hospital job)
im batting .857 in my softball league, with 3 walks, 5 RBI and 8 Runs scored in 10 plate appearances. I also only have one error on defense, but only about 10 attempts, so whatever.
unfortunately my team is not putting up similar numbers... we are 0-4 with 3 mercies... 2 mercies before the 5th inning... not good...
so go get your hands on every medeski martin and wood album you see, and prepare to be covered in mud from the bottom of the mississippi...
Also, Rachel, you never told me how good Pele's other two albums "enemies" and "elephant" are... incredible
Is it bad that I listen to a lot of billy stewart? is there a better version of porgy and bess than his?? i mean, you know, besides the ella fitzgerald one... haha lord... i bet none of you got that.
Soulives new album is good, while eminems is not
so much for hip hop.. why doesnt everyone get on board with the idea that we now only have three genres of music in this country: pop (which is currently called country), R&B (which used to be jazz, R&B, and hip hop), and shit... which is everything else that is either trying to hard to be what it isnt, or hasnt yet become relevant enough to matter
