big plans for '09.. the final of the aught years.

1) use my gigantic tax return to pay off my somewhat newly aquired guitar.... this beauty http://www.fender.com/products/prod_images/guitars/0141600300_xl.jpg

2) buy an hdtv hopefully before the hockey playoffs, but certainly before the baseball playoffs (the hockey playoffs would be better, since then i could watch all baseball season long in HD as well).

3) join a gym if i can afford it (counter logical to the HDTV, right? maybe... the TV allows me to have some people over and not feel like a schmuk for having a tiny 22" non HDTV for people to watch the big game on), but if not, continue with pilates and eat out far less often.

4) part of 3, lose about 40 pounds (the number isnt the goal, the number approximates a body image i want to have, for all i care i could gain 40 pounds, as long as i look the way i want to look), including decreasing my gut, although not eliminating it, i kinda like it.., toning up my legs, and increasing my arms, shoulders, chest and back. obviously those last few cant happen much without a gym. ill be able to tone it all up, but not buff it up much. all in all, i dont want to get winded from sex anymore... thats my real goal

think i can do it? i do. i wouldnt think losing weight would be a huge deal, because i dont eat all that terribly now. i never have fast food, i do eat out once a week, but typically have a pita wrap or things of that nature. and when im home i eat all home cooked meals, including bread i bake myself (my new fad), and at least one side of vegetables with every meal (this is a big deal for me, anyone who knows me i dont eat anything green, and i only eat vegetables if they are on pizza or in stir fry, BUT NO LONGER IS THAT TRUE!). Sam says i just need to decrease my portions and increase my exercise and i have to agree with her. i think my current shape is more a product of a year of nearly 5000 labor hours and nearly 0 hours of exercise.. not true really, in the summer i was rollerblading about 10 miles a day, which i will pick up again asap... once the foot of snow melts, haha. when i first started college i lost a ton of weight and put on a ton of muscle, just from doing things i really liked doing, lifting weights, and only running about 2 miles a day, i woudl also sit on the bike doing homework for about 30 mins. i just dont have access to that anymore, and i cant afford it, really.

but i got a raise at work which should start next pay, and i have an appointment at the ymca on thursday to talk about memberships, so maybe i will have that kind of access soon.

if not, ill just have to it through what ive been doing (with little results) for awhile now. hopefully more carrots is the answer.

in regards to other things on that list.

the guitar is a no brainer, tax return should be almost triple what i owe on it still. done.

tv will depend on my raise.

NIGHT!
