013. Watermelon

Yesung’s birthday was coming up and because of lack of inspiration for presents the year before Kyuhyun and Siwon already decided they were going out for presents together the next time. They wisely started thinking about it two weeks beforehand, but two days before Yesung’s actual birthday they did not even have the smallest idea of what they were going to buy. They decided that they were just going to the mall because they it wasn’t possible for them to fail at something like buying a birthday present. Or they just didn’t want to fail.
So they went to the mall, they walked around in a obviously lost way entering a shop and leaving it right away again. Two hours later they still didn’t buy anything. Leeteuk had called twice to ask if they were all right and they were getting tired.
‘I want to go home’ Kyuhyun knew he sounded like a little kid but his back started to hurt and he wished his bed was right in front of him. ‘I know, me too. Let’s go to one more shop, ok ? We really need to buy something !’ Siwon put his arm around Kyuhyun’s shoulder and so they walked in to some funky colored shop. ‘Should we buy this ?’ Kyuhyun pointed at a watermelon bath sponge, Siwon stared at him weirdly before opening up his mouth. ‘That ? I mean…what do you want to do with thàt ?’ ‘It’s a watermelon bath sponge’ ‘Oh’ ‘I know’ Kyuhyun punched Siwon ‘We buy a few and then we tie them together till it’s a full watermelon !’ Siwon was silent for a second then started laughing. ‘We can add some shower gel or something’ ‘Watermelon flavor’ ‘You’re too much for your own good’ ‘Can I help you with something ?’ the shops saleswoman approached them. ‘How many of these do we need for a full watermelon ?’
‘That woman’s face was priceless’ ‘But in the end she even made it into a full watermelon’ Kyuhyun opens up the bag to study their present once more. ‘I’m proud of us’
