(no subject)
ONLY 10 DAYS UNTIL THE DOLL MARKET.
Which means, of course, that work has rostered me on for the next 9 days in a row, why does the Writers Festival have to be now too, why!?
So I am now epically behind on comments to LJ entires (sorry, all, I will get to them, really. In 11 days time) and tumblr and cleaning the house and remembering to buy food and am now doing things like thinking "Well, I've almost finished the pirate corset and pantaloon sets so if I finish off the Morally Dubious Silk Corsets* I might still have time to do the steampunk oufits and OH MY GOD THERE IS A CAT OUTSIDE I MUST RUN OUT THERE AND PAT IT RIGHT NOW," because seriously, no matter what I'm doing and how important I think it is, if I see a cat that might let me pat it it all goes out the window.
The cat ran away once it saw me, but anyway.

*Morally Dubious because I have previously not used silk due to the whole killing silkworms to get the silk thing (vegetarian, yo), except have lately done some reading on insects, generally speaking, not feeling pain or having consciousness in the sense that animals and humans do (I'm paraphrasing) so that perhaps you don't need to worry about killing insects as much? Still unsure about all this, but did buy a small amount of silk to sew with. It's such a very very nice fabric to use - still not sure if I'll be buying more or not, though...
