In one of my jobs, I get to tell people that they suck. Of course, it's the tried and true "constructive criticism" thing. First, you tell them a few things they did well, and then you get to tell them all the ways in which they suck. In detail. With examples. Phrased nicely and helpfully of course, but it's still a list of ways in which they suck, complete with detailed examination of why they suck and how they can fix said suckage. And they like it. And I get paid to do it. And the better I am at telling people how much they suck, the more people think I'm really good at what I do. This adjunct teaching thing is totally made of win.
