In which I went to Leeds and spent all my pennies...
Liz and I had a fab shopping time yesterday in Leeds. I bought yarn to knit this hat and these shoes(in toddler size) for BabyGiggles' 1st birthday. (It's not til October, so I should have plenty of time for these small projects...) The yarn is a multicoloured muted red, green, yellow and blue. I was torn between this and a pink/brown cream one... but multicoloured seemed the way to go, plus its a girly style hat, so there should be no confusion. I had to buy circular needles too for the hat... they might take me a while to master me thinks!
I stocked up on stationary, buying a turquoise lever arch file for the second module of A2 later on this year, a new USB stick (8GB + £18.47 = Win!) since mine was getting full at 2GB, a monster stationary set (mainly for the pink monsters ruler, but the rest will come in useful too) and a pink notebook for briefing.
I treated myself to the navy blue and silver scarf I had been eyeing up in Accessorise in York this weekend. I figured since I wasn't buying a new school bag or pencil case I could splash out on this...
I got a Lush Avobath, since I'd used up my HappyPill that morning. Mmmmmmmmm zingy bathtime!
I bought some purple and black star beads to make a necklace for Saturday night (is GothNight!). I got some some pretty AB and frosted bicones and silver and metallic blue seed beads to a couple more flower rings... hopefully more delicate and better made than the first one.
I bought a black eyeliner for GuyLiner purposes on Saturday. We're going to Wendyhouse in Leeds for Rich's birthday, and I've somehow gained the position of chief makeup artist after we went out a few weeks ago and I took my huge eyeshadow palette for getting ready at Liz's. I bought some bright purple tights as the plum ones I had didn't look quite cybergoth enough. I stocked up on purple and black netting so I can mod my black skirt.
So far my outfit is... purple tights with black fishnets over(they might need purple bows adding to the tops), rather short skirt (with black and purple netting), my top is a sort of shirt/corset cross from Primark. The top part is a purple/black striped shirt with frilly collar and cuffs, and the bottom part has hooks and eyes on the front and lacing at the back. Both of which are purely decorative... (so no chance of wobbling out!)For my hair, a purple bow alice band and I've bought some star beads in purple and black to create a plasticgoth necklace. Really looking forward to it. Hopefully pics to follow... knowing Rich (he did our unofficial wedding ones) there will be plenty on facebook at least. Just waiting on the armwarmers to arrive (and the fairy lights but they aren't part of my outfit). Shoes are a potential problem... might see if I could stand a whole night in the impulse bought ASDA patent black slut shoes... and then hope and pray I don't see anyone from school! Or if I do they don't recognise me!
