It all started with this conversation...

xSaturdaysStormx: you know what I was thiking about the other day?
xSaturdaysStormx: field trips and how they're never to a field.
FairyBread101: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
xSaturdaysStormx: i think one day we should have a field trip to a field and like have a picnic
FairyBread101: we call them "excursions" in Aussie
xSaturdaysStormx: lol
xSaturdaysStormx: excursions? i'm gonna call them that for now on

I even looked it up.

Excursions -

1.) A usually short journey made for pleasure; an outing.
2.) A roundtrip on a passenger vehicle at a special low fare.
3.) A group taking a short pleasure trip together.
4.) A diversion or deviation from a main topic; a digression.

Picnic -

1.) A meal eaten outdoors, as on an excursion.
2.) Slang. An easy task or a pleasant experience.
3.) A smoked section of pork foreleg and shoulder.
