Now don't get me wrong, U2 is one of my all-time favorite bands, but Billy Joel is my all-time favorite artist.

If it were early 80s Bono, then Bono rocks harder. "The Downeaster 'Alexa'" or "Captain Jack," it's Billy Joel.

In general? Bono. Billy Joel has a classical album. Classical music is cool but not (in Joel's case) very rocking.
