Edmonton - St. Patrick's Day - March 16 - 10km run
Calgary - The Big Run - May 3 - 10km run or 21.5km half-marathon (probably going to do the 10km run)
Edmonton - University of Alberta Spring Thaw Triathlon - May 4 - 750m swim/20km bike/5km run or 400m swim/10km bike/2.5km run (I'm leaning towards the longer distance option... should be easy)
Edmonton - Community Action DASH - May 25 - 10km run
Winnipeg - Manitoba Marathon - June 15 - 21.5km half-marathon
Calgary - HSBC Marathon - July 6 - 21.5km half-marathon
Edmonton - Moose is Loose - July 20 - 10km run or 21.5km half-marathon (hopefully the half-marathon)
Edmonton - ING Marathon - Aug 9 - 21.5km half-marathon
Calgary - Lake Chaparral Triathlon - Aug 17 - 1500m swim/40km bike/10km run or 750m swim/20km bike/5km run
Edmonton - Lake Summerside Triathlon - 1500m swim/44km bike/10km run or 750m swim/29km bike/5km run
I believe that these are all possible, as long as I train well and hard. My goal is to be able to do the
Olympic distance options of the last two events, the Chaparral and Summerside triathlons. If I can do these, then I think that doing a full marathon will be feasible in 2009. ;)
