The last 3 months have been extremely healthy for me. I've been hiking high up in the mountains, mountain biking on the trails, road biking on the highways, biking 10kms to school and back almost every day, running/jogging whenever I have time, getting dragged out for intense Ultimate Frisbee or soccer every week, skating on the ice, and I've been eating decently well. When I go back home for Christmas, I'll be swimming in the new indoor recirculating mechanical lap pool that my parents installed.
By 'eating decently well', I mean I've been a good vegetarian (since April 2006) so I haven't really had any meat/grease cholesterol in more than a year and a half. I've dropped my weight from 155lbs to 143lbs, and ever since I started lifting weights on top of that, I've brought my weight up to 146lbs on muscle alone.
For protein, I have lots of tofu, beans, soymilk, bean curd skin, and assorted gluten products.
For carbs, I have oatmeal (every morning for breakfast), potatoes, LOTS of pasta, brown rice and at least one loaf of whole grain bread every week.
I take my multi-vitamin suppliments...
I have oranges, bananas, pears and kiwis... plus juice - mango, coconut and orange juice (extra pulp).
My 'bad' vices are - some alcohol from time to time (cider and wine), chocolate, coffee, red bull and donuts.
I calculate that I take in about 3000-3500 calories a day, and I burn about the same, too.
My goal is to be fit, healthy, lean, mean and dropping my body fat percentage from 13% down to 9% by next spring.
