Some of you have already seen this, I'm sure, since the fact I had a wisdom tooth removed yesterday made me a little slow in getting around to posting about it. (Scooped by
octoberland, I was, but surprisingly not by
cleolinda) However, I figured all you Twilight fans and haters deserve as many chances to see this as possible.
So, Monday night, my wife and I are watching her new show, Life Unexpected (hey, I made her watch the new V with me--I'm getting the better end of the deal). We'd both kinda phased out the commercial breaks since it's mostly either that amusingly insane "Skittles harvest" commercial or that incredibly racist Starburst commercial about how Asian people with Scottish accents don't make sense and therefore shouldn't exist. (Seriously, way to make me ashamed of loving your product, fucksticks)
However, our attention was drawn back to the TV when this little beauty popped on:

Yes, it's both a spot-on parody of Twilight (and New Moon with that adorable, fluffy CGI werewolf at the end) and a bit of a jab at True Blood. Notice that "Sebastian" not only has fangs (unlike any of Stephenie Meyer's vamps), but that they pop out of his second incisors instead of his canines. Which never fails to immediately undercut the menace of the vamps on that show by making them look like buck-toothed goofballs.
Stare into the goofy face of undead terror!
So, basically if you love Twilight and True Blood, or if you hate them both, or if you love one and hate the other you'll still probably find it amusing. I sure did.
