Ok, so, here's something that's got two things different about it:
1. distorted guitar
2. a bass line.
I used the new Washburn for this, and although that's not my amp you're hearing, it could be. It's an effects unit I borrowed from Roger around the same time I got the recorder. The bass you hear is also Roger's; he left it over here accidentally some nights ago when we were playing. I wrote the bass line pretty much on the fly, and it's the first time I've played a five-string bass ever, and the first time I've played any bass at all in years.
I know I posted the lyrics to this around the same time I wrote it, but just to have it all neat and concise, they are included
under here...
I walk down past Burrus
Down past Davidson Hall
I see all the pretty girls
But they don't move me at all
Because it's you
Oh baby, it's you
I'm telling you pretty momma
I got the Blacksburg Blues
The rain is a'falling
Falling on my head
I lie alone and cry at night
And I wish I was dead
Over you
Oh baby it's you
I'm telling you pretty momma
I got the Bleaksburg Blues
I used to be happy
Happy all the time
Without you in my life my darling
I'm gonna lose my mind
Over you
I got the goddamned Blacksburg Blues
And I'm telling you pretty momma
I ain't got nothing else to lose
I'm telling you pretty momma
I ain't got nothing else to lose
So without further ado, here is
Blacksburg Blues.
