Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplin, Live at The Rainbow, Ottawa
Saturday night, I went out to see Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplin, Live at The Rainbow Bistro, here in Ottawa.
What a show!
The only flaw in the evening was having to sit a good part of the evening beside a table full of people who thought that paying $29 cover entitled them to talk loudly through the entire show (not even applauding) and generally be annoying. As well as the three middle-aged-plus businessmen who kept trying to pick up my friend.
We finally moved up front where a very nice fellow got me a stool (I have a bad back and cannot stand for long) and eventually gave his own stool up to my friend.
Anyway... back to the music... Indescribably good. You have to check out the website and the latest CD, "Lost John Dean" which I was able to buy as a pre-release at the show.
