Epiphany, cont.
Bought myself some 11"x15" watercolor paper, and a set of 18 tubes of watercolor. I used one of the pages to do a sample of each of the colors in their unaltered state. They're so rich and luscious they took my breath away. I also took a piece of regular drawing paper and painted stripes of the "leftover" test colors, close enough so that the colors could run into one another. Also gorgeous. Now I'm dreaming about color combinations, and reminding myself that I have to leave enough white space to make the finished assemblage interesting. I'm glad I have a long weekend coming up so that I can play.
